
The Keys Marine Lab has 3 different facilities for housing visiting groups depending on the number of people and the length of your stay:
- The Admin Dorm - Large groups
- The Marina Dorm - Medium to large groups
- The Bay House - Smaller groups, long term stays only
The Admin Dorm is located above the administration offices and is used for large groups. This dorm sleeps 16 in 3 bedrooms so groups can split up by sex. The 2 bathrooms and 4 shower stalls help get everyone cleaned up after a long day on the water. Like all KML housing, the Admin dorm is comfortably air-conditioned and has an open deck area for lounging and eating. Check out the photos below for a short tour (click to enlarge).

The Marina Dorm is intended primarily for large to medium sized groups. It sleeps 8 in a dorm-style bedroom with bunk beds and has , 1½ bathrooms and 2 shower stalls (the ½ bathroom adjoins the kitchen). This dorm is located above the shop and laundry room and overlooks the marina. It is comfortably air-conditioned for hot Keys summers. Click on the photos below to enlarge.
The Bay House is intended for long term guests and has a minimum 2 week stay (inquire for availability). The Bay House sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms (2 bathrooms) overlooking Florida Bay, is comfortably air-conditioned, and is a comfortable home-away-from-home for our long-term researchers.
