The Keys Marine Laboratory has many replicate experimental tanks, holding and display tanks and wet tables available for use by visiting scientists and educators. The saltwater tanks listed below are connected to the main laboratory flow-through seawater system except where noted. Please contact the laboratory with any questions you may have about the laboratory seawater system or tank configurations which are not addressed here.

These are sets of independent, identical tanks on the flow-through seawater system. Systems with head tanks and recirculating seawater may also be available. Contact KML for tank availability and/or questions about specific research needs not met by our current seawater systems.
Replicate tank systems: (FT = flow-through, AS = air supply, HT = head tank)
- Six 1000 gallon round tanks: FT, AS.
- Four 160 gallon oval tanks w/ ~200 gal storage tank: FT, AS.
- Sixteen 74 gallon square tanks w/ covers: FT, AS, HT.
- Twelve ~25 gallon clear acrylic tanks: FT, AS.
- Eight ~150 gallon square tanks: FT, AS.

Holding and storage tanks, supplied with seawater from the shallows, are available for holding and maintaining organisms of all sizes. All holding tanks can be covered and they vary in the degree of shading from direct sunlight.
Holding tanks: (all are flow-through with air supply)
- Eight large, square concrete tanks with sand bottoms.
- Three square concrete tanks behind wet lab #1.
- Three large acrylic tanks with partitions to separate animals.
- Two eight foot diameter tanks behind wet lab #1.
- Three 100-200 gallon blue tanks.
- Four square fiberglass tanks behind wet lab #1.

Arrays of shallow fiberglass troughs supplied with flow-through seawater for sorting or holding specimens temporarily. Six outdoor tables are available along with four tables inside the wet labs.
